Freak [S Nomad]
No dial, no hands, no crown, but a guilloché hour plate that contrasts with the avant-garde architecture of its movement. The UN-251 manufacture calibre of Ulysse Nardin's Freak [S Nomad] is built around a flying carrousel that turns on its axis to show the hours and minutes. It combines two visible oscillators with silicon balance wheels, each inclined 20 degrees, and DIAMonSIL-treated escapements connected by a vertical differential system mounted on ball bearings. Automatic winding is by Ulysse Nardin's Grinder® system, which is twice as efficient as a traditional system. The heart of the watch is housed inside a 45mm case that combines titanium for the main case, anthracite PVD-coated titanium for the bezel and carbon-fibre side caps. Limited to 99 pieces, the Freak [S Nomad] comes with two straps, in rubber or anthracite alligator.
